Steamed Fish Recipe - Learn All About Cooking Fish
Whether you are grilling, frying, baking, poaching, steaming of broiling your fish, the basic rule is that it will take 8-10 minutes of cooking time for every inch of thickness. The biggest mistake most people make in cooking fish is to over cook it. Now if the fish is frozen, count on 20 minutes per inch.
Cooking fish in parchment paper or foil is a wonderful way to get great results. The paper or foil holds in the moisture, concentrates the flavor, and protects the delicate flesh. Follow the folding and cooking instructions carefully. The packets can be cooked in the oven or on the grill.
I have been cooking fish since I was a child with my Grandfather. I remember going out early in the morning to catch some salmon for the evening dinner. I found a great recipe book that has a lot of the same recipes that he used to use.

Some tips for you:
* Some varieties of fish contain more fat, such as salmon or tuna, which can be cooked until opaque on the outside while remaining somewhat translucent on the inside. * Make sure that the butter is extra hot but not yet burning. * Use fresh fish, it is easier to work with than frozen fish.
