Recipes On How To Smoke Fish - Cooking Fish The Easy Way

Grilling is the testiest of traditional fish-cooking methods, because it is deceptive in its apparent simplicity. The novice cook assumes that grilling fish requires only as much attention as a steak, a burger or chicken. Unlike other meats, fish tend to secrete much of their moisture when cooked, and on an open grill the precious liquid has no recourse but to drip into the coals.


You do have to clean your fish thoroughly, inside and out, before deboning it. After it has been gutted and rinsed thoroughly, lay the fish on its side and cut straight down, just behind the gills, until the knife reaches the backbone. Make sure that the knife is positioned flat against the backbone, parallel to the surface, with the sharp edge facing the tail. Then cut along the fish, following the backbone all the way down to the tail. Turn the fish over and repeat on the other side.

Baked Fish

1/3 cup milk
2 teaspoons sea salt
Fish fillets
1/2 cup bread crumbs
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Butter

Preheat the oven to 375. Mix the salt and milk in bowl. In another bowl put bread crumbs, parmesan cheese and paprika.
Dip fish into milk and salt, and then into the bread crumb mixture.
Put into the baking dish and pour the melted butter over the fillets. Bake for almost 30 minutes.

Its a great one, very simple, but also very good. Give it a try!

I will give here some tips that would be helpful when you will be buying and cooking fish.

* Allow extra time if fish will be baked while packed in an aluminum foil and allow extra time for the penetration of the heat.
* You can buy grill baskets made for grilling seafood - these help small pieces of fish from falling through the grill, and will help in grilling delicate fillets.

* A temperature between 350°F and 375°F is an ideal range for deep-frying. The correct temperature can be determined with the use of a candy thermometer.
* Make sure that the fish is well coated in batter.
